This is one of the quick fix dinner and my favorite recipe as it takes less than 10 mins and can be prepared in a typical south Indian style. This would be one of nice alternative for the kids who does not like to have the bread as it is.
Ingredients:
Butter split top bread (as required)
1 medium onion
1 tomato
few curry leaves
1/2 tsp chilly powder
a pinch of turmeric powder
1/4 tsp mustard,cumin seeds, coriander powder
2 cups water
Salt as required
Oil
Method:
- Cut bread into small pieces and keep aside.
- Heat a frying pan and add oil, mustard, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- Add onions ( Chopped finely) and fry the onions till it turns in brown color
- Now add chopped tomato's and fry for about 3-4 mins till it get mashed.Add chilly , coriander power and 2 cups of water.
- When it comes to boil stage, add the bread pieces and stir it continuously ( becoz it tends stick to the pan). Fry for about 3-5 mins till bread mixes properly.
- This can be taken without any side dish
